My latest SOS strategies to combat anxiety:
1. Acknowledge its visit but not fight it. "Oh boy... You are here today.. okay."
2. Recognize my mind is already losing the battle, call my body in to help with defense: load up on goodness as fast as I can in the next 12 hours. Water instead of coffee, salad instead of fried chicken, run/next available fitness class, next available massage appointment.
3. Be kind to myself. Tell the "how can I be better/faster/more" voice to come back tomorrow, because I can't talk right now.
4. Write down existential crisis du jour, get off emails, and make something within the next 6 hours.
